Artist's Statement

"Adornment is a reflection of the heart. Jewelry has always been a part of human history. Jewelry has at its core issues of beauty, remembrance, self-expression, status and fashion. Jewelry plays an intimate and familiar part of our lives, and reveals something about the wearer and the artist who creates it.

My inspiration comes from the gemstones I work with, nature, architecture, and my travels. I work in wax as well as metal and do all the design work myself. There is always something new to try. Nature provides an infinite palate of color and materials to work into pieces that delight the eye and the wearer.

Many of my designs evolve from commissions. I enjoy the synergy of working with a person to create that special, individual piece of jewelry."
